- Accommodations
Step aboard an 80' Azimut and you step aboard an excellent combination of sea keeping ability, speed and comfort.
The Azimut design team picked a sharp entry for her bow and carried the V-hull all the way to the transom ending in a 12.4 degree deadrise. This lets her carve through a tough head sea with no feeling of broaching in a following sea. You can set the auto-pilot and let it do its job in any direction. Spool up the 1575 hp CAT C-30 V-12's and at WOT she turns 32-33 knots outrunning all the competition. All this and you can sit back in dry comfort and arrive in the Bahamas in under 2 hours loafing along at 25 knots or taking it easy and cruise 11 knots at a displacement speed. You enter the salon from the aft deck through a stainless steel door that opens to nearly half the salon width. To port is a chenille curved sofa and an entertainment center with a full compliment of electronic video and audio equipment. To starboard is a large single chair with ottoman for the owner and another curved sofa. Further forward and to port is a fully equipped galley with striking gray granite counter tops. Aft in the galley is the private entrance to the crew quarters and engine room. Just ahead of the galley is the lower helm station with the port crew entrance immediately behind it. Opposite the galley is the dining area for eight with five chairs and seating on a sofa bench for three. This is a unique seating arrangement leaving ample room for the crew to serve not having a table with chairs all the way around out from the bulkhead. Going all the way forward and down a stairway on the starboard side you enter the sleeping quarters. Immediately to starboard is twin stateroom that has had one berth turned into a table for the owners computer and other office equipment allowing him the ability to maintain communication with the office. Continuing forward is the full beam VIP with a tapered queen bed and its own en-suite head. To port is a second stateroom with a double bed and an en-suite head. Proceeding aft you find the full beam master. To starboard is a walk-in closet and to port is a full bath with double sinks, full shower, and head. Returning to the aft deck you can ascend to the boat deck and flybridge helm station from a staircase on the port side. The helm station is placed in the center with behind it a wet bar, grill and refrigerator. Between the Opacmare crane and tender is a full seating area for eight plus a large cocktail table. Going down to the swim platform is a large transom door serving as another entrance to the crew quarters and engine room in good weather.
- Marty Lowe Interior Design
The interior is decorated in shades of beige and royal blue. An oil painting on an aged, scalloped panel has been chosen for the salon bulkhead highlighted by a dedicated art light. The salon lounges are upholstered with nubby, luxurious chenille and leather frames. An ottoman and separate club chair are upholstered in smooth cream glove leather. The silk drapery is tied back with handmade silk tasseled tiebacks. The perfect accompaniment to this décor scheme is the table setting of French Limoges china and embroidered linen napkins. The flooring throughout has been upgraded to include inlaid contrasting marble medallions in the galley/dining area with hardwood floors and inlaid marble in the heads. A custom needlepoint carpet in a wool and lined damask pattern in subtle shades of beige has been professionally installed with fully bound edges and stainless steel thresholds.
The owner's stateroom bedset is from a needlepoint fabric with wonderfully embroidered pique bedcovers and shams. A beveled mirror with handmade framing hangs over the berth. The VIP stateroom features imported Italian pique bedcovers with embroidered bedsets. The starboard stateroom has gingham-quilted bed sets with matching shams and drapery in shades of ecru and cream.
The port stateroom features a mini geometric print is shades of beige and royal blue. All of the staterooms have custom fitted linens made from ultra fine yarn with a 420 thread count including fitted mattress ads. An Italian landscape painting with decorative framing is mounted above the headboard. A decorative throw pillow package with handmade trimmings, cashmere throw and carefully chosen accessories have been provided to enhance the overall design concept.
